With its unique gradient design the Boat. Boat Airdopes 412 has been successful in turning some heads. So if you are thinking of getting these Airdopes 412, then here’s everything you need to know about them.

Inside the box:

The package consists of a pair of Airdopes 412 earbuds, a charging case, a Charging Cable, two pairs of extra ear tips, 3 pairs of extra ear flags/hooks, a user manual guide, and a Boathead community card, and a Warranty Card.

Built Quality:

Both the case and earbuds are made of polycarbonate material. The case is rectangular-shaped with curved edges and is magnetic. The case has a matte finish and Boat written on the outside. The inside of the case is matte too. It has 2 cutouts for placing the earbuds.

The bottom of the case has all sorts of details regarding the model number and other details about the case.

The case also has 4 LED indicators on the front which indicate the battery on the case and a USB port on the back for charging.

The earbuds have an edgy Gradient shaded Polka-dot sort of design on the Sporty Blue Model. It has a curved back with a Boat logo on each of the buds. The Boat Airdopes 412 earbuds have Multi-Function Button on the back along with an LED indicator. With the angled earbuds and the ear hooks on each of them, they stay put in the ear quite comfortably.

The Boat Airdopes 412 are IPX4 rated, which means they are sweat-resistant and resistant to light splashes.

Pairing Speed :

The Boat Airdopes 412 uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology.

The Airdopes 412 earbuds power on and enter connection mode as soon as one opens the charging case lid.

Although to connect to your device for the first time follow the following steps :

STEP 1:

Take the Earbuds out of the Charging Case or manually turn them on press and hold the Multi-Function Button for 2 seconds.

STEP 2:

Both Earbuds will automatically pair with each other. They will blink for 10 seconds & automatically connect to each other.

Wait for BLUE / RED LIGHTS on either the left earbud or Right earbuds to stop blinking. This “BLUE / RED LIGHTS” means that it has gone into Connection Mode.

Once the earbuds have paired to each other, the LED Indicator will only blink on one of them during this stage, while the other one will stop blinking.

STEP 3:

Turn on Bluetooth on your device & then scan.

STEP 4:

Search for “boAt Airdopes 412” and pair accordingly.

Enter the password “0000” if asked for, and connect the earbuds to your device.

STEP 5:

You may now enjoy your music or any other entertainment form factor.

Single Earbud use :

STEP 1: After pairing, your earbuds are in stereo mode & connected to your Bluetooth device.

STEP 2: Simply remove either the left or right earbud from your ear.

STEP 3: And, place the Earbud back into the Charging Case.

STEP 4: Congratulations, you are now using mono/solo mode.

Controls :

Both earbuds have Multi-Function Button or MFB which can be used to Activate Voice Assistant, Answer or Hang Up calls, Reject calls, Play or Pause the music and change the music track.

One can control these by the following means:

• Activating Voice Assistant: Long Press the MFB on either earbud for 2 seconds to activate the voice assistant
• Answer/Hang Up Call: Tap the Multi-Function Button once to answer an incoming call and once again to hang up once done talking.
• Rejecting phone calls: Press and hold the Multi-Function Button for 2 seconds to reject an incoming call.
• Play/Pause: Tap the Multi-Function Button to play/pause the music at your convenience.
• Next Track: When playing music, double-click the right earbuds Multi-Function Button to play the next track.
• Previous Track: When playing music, double click the left earbuds’ Multi-Function Button to play the previous track.
• Although the Volume cannot be controlled via Airdopes 412 earbuds and can only be adjusted via phone/media device.

Sound Quality :

We have been using these Earbuds for quite some time, and we can say that the Sound Quality of the Airdopes 412 is somewhat nice. The vocals are clear and the bass is really heavy. Although listening to the music at a high volume was quite unpleasant for us.

Noise Cancelling :

As soon as you put these into your ear, you will notice that around 40% of the noise has been blocked.

Although while listening to songs on high volume one might not notice any background noises.

Call Quality :

The call quality of Airdopes 412 is terrible. Yes! That’s right. We used these to talk over the phone and our experience was really bad. On the other end, the Voice keeps on gradually increasing and decreasing. It was really tough to talk.

Battery life :

The Boat Airdopes 412 has a 500 mAh battery in the carry case and a 50 mAh battery in the Earbuds.

Once charged fully, the Boat Airdopes 412 lasted around 4 hours with the volume level being 70%.

Using the case, one can charge these four 4 additional times. It took around 1hr for it to be fully charged.

The total playback time on these Airdopes 412 is around 14-18 hours depending on the volume.

Worth the Price :

The Boat Airdopes 412’s build quality is really nice. The Airdopes also fit really well in the ears. The IPX4 water resistance is also very good.

But the call quality is really bad. We wouldn’t recommend these if you need to talk over them daily.

The bass is really heavy, so if you are a bass lover then you’d love these.

Other than the Call Quality, the overall feel of the Boat Airdopes 412 is really nice.
