DishTV, a popular satellite television provider, has recently made some changes to its platform by altering the channel numbers of two major channels - Sony Pal and Star Utsav. Prior to this change, these channels were originally available on the DD Free Dish platform, which is a free-to-air satellite service provided by Doordarshan. However, in the last DD Free Dish auction, these channels were not able to participate in the bid to remain on the DD Free Dish platform.

As a result of this development, the channels were removed from the DD-free Dish platform starting from 1st April 2022. In order to continue offering these channels to its customers, DishTV has now added them to its own platform with new channel numbers. Customers can now tune in to the Sony Pal channel on Dish TV channel number 138, and enjoy watching their favourite Hindi Entertainment channel Star Utsav on Dish TV channel number 140.
This move by DishTV aims to ensure that its customers can continue enjoying their favourite shows on these channels despite the changes that have occurred. With the new channel numbers in place, viewers can easily navigate and find these channels on the DishTV platform, making it a seamless viewing experience for them.
