The €32 Smartwatch That Actually Surprised Me
I’ve worn smartwatches from Samsung, Garmin, and other big names. I’ve spent hundreds, sometimes over a thousand euros, on devices that promise the world but often leave you wanting more battery life or a better screen. So when I saw the YK17 on Temu asnd Amazon for around €32, I was skeptical. I bought it out of curiosity, expecting another cheap gadget that would end up in a drawer after a week. I was wrong.
After using it for a while, I can honestly say this is one of the most surprising tech purchases I’ve made. It does everything a premium smartwatch does, and in some ways, it does it better.

The Display: A Genuine AMOLED That Steals the Show
The first thing that hit me was the screen. The YK17 has a vibrant, sharp AMOLED display. The colors are rich, the blacks are deep, and it’s perfectly readable even in direct sunlight. It’s genuinely one of the best screens I’ve seen on a smartwatch, regardless of price
Here’s the thing, though: you need to be careful when buying. Not all listings for this watch are the same. Some sellers are selling versions with an inferior LCD screen, and they don’t always make it clear. The display area can also be smaller, sometimes under 99%, which ruins the look. When you’re searching for this watch, make sure the listing explicitly says AMOLED and check the display area percentage. It’s a small detail that makes a huge difference in your daily experience.
Battery Life That Lasts and Lasts
Another feature that blew me away was the battery. The YK17 packs a 1400mAh battery, which is massive for a smartwatch . Most premium smartwatches have batteries that are a fraction of that size. As a result, this watch lasts days on a single charge. I’m not constantly hunting for a charger, which is a refreshing change.
It Does Everything a Premium
Watch Does
It’s easy to assume a cheap watch is just a step counter. The YK17, however, is a full-featured smartwatch. It reads your heart rate, tracks your blood oxygen levels, and monitors your sleep . You can take and make calls directly from your wrist, read messages from WhatsApp, Messenger, and SMS, and get all your phone notifications . It has a pedometer, sleep monitoring, and a bunch of sports modes. It truly has all the core functionality of a much more expensive device.
The FitCloudPro App: A Bit of a Hidden Gem
To get the most out of the YK17, you need the FitCloudPro app, which you can download from the App Store or Google Play . It’s a well-designed app that syncs all your health data and allows you to control many watch settings
One thing that took me a while to figure out was how to change the watch face. It’s not obvious at first. You have to go into the app, navigate to Device, and then look for the Dial Library . That’s where all the extra watch faces are stored. It took me a while to find it, so I’m saving you the hassle. It’s in Device > Dial Library.
The Verdict: A True Budget Champion
The YK17 is proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a great smartwatch. It has a brilliant AMOLED display, fantastic battery life, and all the essential health and notification features you could want. It’s a fantastic option for students, anyone on a budget, or even as a backup device.
Just remember to double-check the listing details before you buy to make sure you’re getting the AMOLED version. Also, if you do get one, don’t forget to look for the watch faces in the FitCloudPro app’s Dial Library. For €32, it’s an absolute steal and a product I genuinely recommend.
